چکیده
In this study, the slope deflection method was presented for structures made of small-scaled axially functionally graded beams with a variable cross section within scope nonlocal elasticity theory. The small-scale effect between individual atoms cannot be neglected when are small in size. Therefore, theory is used throughout. stiffness coefficients and fixed-end moments calculated using initial values. Vibration characteristics of axially loaded tapered Timoshenko beams made of functionally graded materials by the power series method
Abstract: In the present article, a semi-analytical technique to investigate free bending vibration behavior of axially functionally graded non-prismatic Timoshenko beam subjected to a point force at both ends is developed based on the power series expansions. The beam is assumed to be made of linear elastic and isotropic material with constant Poisson ratio. Material properties including the ...
متن کاملGeometrically nonlinear analysis of axially functionally graded beams by using finite element method
The aim of this paper is to investigate geometrically nonlinear static analysis of axially functionally graded cantilever beam subjected to transversal non follower load. The considered problem is solved by finite element method with total Lagrangian kinematic approach. The material properties of the beam vary along the longitudinal direction according to the power law function. The finite elem...
متن کاملVibration Analysis of Rotary Tapered Axially Functionally Graded Timoshenko Nanobeam in Thermal Environment
In this paper, vibration analysis of rotary tapered axially functionally graded (AFG) Timoshenko nanobeam is investigated in a thermal environment based on nonlocal theory. The governing equations of motion and the related boundary conditions are derived by means of Hamilton’s principle based on the first order shear deformation theory of beams. The solution method is considered using generaliz...
متن کاملCrack Detection In Functionally Graded Beams Using Conjugate Gradient Method
In this paper the conjugate gradient (CG) method is employed for identifying the parameters of crack in a functionally graded beam from natural frequency measurement. The crack is modeled as a massless rotational spring with sectional flexibility. By using the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory on two separate beams respectively and applying the compatibility requirements of the crack, the characteris...
متن کاملFlexural-torsional stability of sandwich tapered I-beams with a functionally graded porous core
The present research deals with the flexural-torsional buckling analysis of sandwich web and/or flanges tapered doubly-symmetric I-beam. All section walls are composed of two metal face layers and a functionally graded (FG) porous core. It is assumed that the material properties of the porous core vary gradually in the longitudinal direction according to the simple power-law function considerin...
